No Unopettes? No Problem!

The discontinuation of BD’s Unopette® 5877 (Eosinophil) has left avian practitioners worldwide scrambling for an alternative method for performing a total WBC. With the release of our Avian Leukopet™ kit, there’s no reason to scrap such an essential and time tested tool. The 50 test kit consists of prefilled tubes containing 0.1% phloxine, a 25 ul Minipet®, and disposable tips. The Leukopet test procedure utilizes the same volumes and is nearly identical to the original Unopette® procedure requiring no change to the  mathematical formula.  Click here for package insert. Also available is an economical 100 test “fill-it-yourself” kit containing 100 empty tubes with caps, bottled ready to use 0.1% Phloxine, and 25 ul pipette and tips.  (Requires a digital pipettor for dispensing 775 ul of phloxine; sold separately.)
